Community Center

The Community Center is located at 1650 Obetz Avenue.  It contains two multi-purpose rooms, a small gymnasium, and a lounge.  A park with a shelter and playground equipment is adjacent to the Community Center.  The multi-purpose rooms and gym are available for rent.  For questions regarding the Community Center, contact Judy Hogan at (614) 491-4546.

Senior Services

The Village of Obetz has an active senior community and therefore the Village has created a diverse program of activities for our residents.  On Mondays and Thursdays lunch is served at noon in the multi-purpose room of the Community Center.  A $2 donation is requested.  This is a great opportunity to socialize with other residents.  A variety of games are played every Monday and Thursday immediately following lunch. Chair Volleyball is played on Wednesday afternoon at 1:00p.m.  Check the calendar for more activities.

Tweener Trips

Tweeners are active adults no matter what age, who want to continue experiencing life.  Tweener Trips are open to any adult resident of Obetz and are scheduled throughout the year.  Check the calendar often for upcoming events.  If you are interested in going on a trip, you may sign up at the Community Center.

Senior Transportation Program

The Village’s Senior Transportation Program provides dependable service to senior citizens and disabled residents who have no other means of transportation.  Transportation is available for medical and personal appointments within a twenty mile radius.  Service is offered curb-to-curb Monday through Friday at no cost to Village and Hamilton Township residents.  All appointments must be made at least 24 hours in advance.  Appointments should be scheduled between the hours of 9:30 A.M. and 2:00 P.M. so that pick-up times fall between 9:00 A.M. and 3:30 P.M.  The Village also picks up residents for the senior lunches on Mondays and Thursdays.  Thursday afternoon following lunch residents are taken to the grocery store.  If you are a senior resident of Obetz or Hamilton Township in need of transportation, you are encouraged to utilize this program.
