Annual Trout Fishing Derby

The City of Obetz will be hosting its annual Fishing Derby at Dixon Quarry on Saturday, April 1st, from 9am to noon. Participation is FREE! Adults and children can fish, so be sure to bring your friends and family. All trout caught can be kept, but all other fish are catch and release.

Bring: Participants are expected to bring their own fishing equipment, buckets/coolers, and bait.

Fishers are not permitted to “chum the waters” with corn or other bait. Fishers are not permitted to use nets. Fishers may use non motorized boats such as kayaks.

Schedule

8:15am- Same Day Registration

9am- Start Fishing (signaled by airhorn)

12pm- Judging at Dixon Quarry Pavilion
