“Cops & Kids Day is designed to provide children the opportunity to interact with the law enforcement community, while learning about the vehicles, equipment, and technology that law enforcement personnel use. Agencies throughout the state attend this annual event, and cruisers, helicopters, motorcycles, tactical vehicles, and K-9s will be on display. Kids are also able to participate in arts and crafts, inflatable gyms, and other activities including the ever-popular “Dunk-a-Cop” tank. Local hospitals and safety organizations also attend the event and provide various child safety materials, promotional items, and other interactive exercises. The first 1,500 children in attendance receive a free bag and water bottle. Admission and refreshments are FREE!”

Officer Rigby and Officer Fout did a phenomenal job of representing Obetz at this event! Not to mention they brought back some hardware. In a few competitions held at the event, the OPD Jeep cruiser won first place in the cruiser category and the OPD motorcycle won second place in the specialty vehicle category!
