City of Obetz Breaks Ground on New Incubator Building

The City of Obetz proudly announces the groundbreaking of its new incubator building, an innovative 10,000-square-foot facility designed to nurture local talent and turn fresh retail and service ideas into thriving businesses. This exciting development will provide budding entrepreneurs with affordable spaces and essential resources, bridging the gap between idea and execution.

The incubator will be located centrally across from Obetz Cemetery, adjacent to the historic Collins/Devuno garage. This prime location ensures easy access for both residents and visitors, enhancing Obetz’s community-centered approach to local business development. By providing entrepreneurs with competitively priced leases and a suite of support services, the City of Obetz hopes to foster a collaborative environment where new ventures can flourish.

“Fostering the growth of local businesses is a top priority for Obetz, and this incubator represents our commitment to empowering entrepreneurs with the space and resources they need to succeed,” said Obetz Mayor Angela Kirk. “This facility will bring their ideas to life right here in our community, and we’re eager to fill it with services that meet the unique needs of our area.”

The incubator project brings together a skilled team of contributors, including Robertson Construction Services, WSA Studio, The Kleingers Group, Claypool Electric, G Mechanical Inc., Schaefer, and Freeland. Their collective expertise is helping the City of Obetz build a space that will serve as a catalyst for local business growth, creating new opportunities for residents and energizing the community’s economic landscape.

The Obetz incubator represents a new era of growth and opportunity for the community, making it a place where innovative retail and service businesses can take root and thrive. Whether you’re a local entrepreneur or a community member with a great idea, the City of Obetz invites you to be part of this exciting journey.
