Obetz and Community Partners Provide Holiday Gifts to Nearly 200 Children

The City of Obetz, in partnership with the Obetz Police Department, Representative Mike Carey, Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, Hope Task Force, Hamilton Township Fire Department, Hamilton Local Schools, and Southeast Healthcare, helped make the holiday season brighter for families throughout Obetz and Hamilton Township by providing Christmas gifts to nearly 200 children.

The holiday gift pickup event took place on Saturday, December 20, bringing together local law enforcement, public safety agencies, schools, and community partners in one location to support families in need. Eligible families were able to pick up gifts for children under the age of 18, ensuring they could experience a special and meaningful holiday season.

The program saw an overwhelming response. This strong turnout reflected the continued need for community-based support programs and the impact of collaborative efforts across multiple agencies.

“This event showed what is possible when organizations come together with a shared goal of helping others,” said City of Obetz Mayor, Angela Kirk. “We are grateful to our law enforcement partners, schools, nonprofits, and volunteers who worked behind the scenes to support local families and make a positive difference during the holidays.”

The City of Obetz extends its sincere appreciation to all partner agencies and volunteers who contributed their time, resources, and dedication to the success of the program.
