Alum Creek Drive Construction Update: What to Expect
As part of ongoing roadway improvements in Obetz, construction is currently underway at Alum Creek Drive and Maureen Boulevard.
To keep drivers, pedestrians, and workers safe during this project, the City is following a Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) plan. This plan outlines how cones, barriers, and signs are placed to guide vehicles through the work zone while crews complete improvements.
Here’s what residents can expect:

Traffic Flow: One lane in each direction will remain open, but you may see lane shifts, reduced speeds, and construction barrels in place.

Safety Measures: Signage, traffic drums, and barriers are set up to clearly mark travel paths. Please slow down and drive carefully through the zone.

Project Timeline: Work in this area will continue through fall 2025, depending on weather and construction progress.
