Winter Weather Advisory 2/16

February 16, 2025 – 4:15PM

Streets have been cleared, and the citywide snow emergency has been lifted. Vehicles may now be moved back to the street. However, Franklin County remains under a Level 1 Snow Emergency, so please use caution while traveling.

Temperatures are expected to drop this week, increasing the risk of ice and frozen spots on the roadways. Please use extra caution when driving or walking, as conditions may become slippery.

February 16, 2025 – 11:30AM

The City of Obetz is currently under a citywide snow emergency, and Franklin County is under a Level 1 Snow Emergency. All vehicles must be moved off the streets immediately to allow plows to clear the roads effectively. Any vehicles left on the streets are subject to ticketing or possible towing.

Stay safe, drive cautiously, and check for further updates.

Winter weather is making its way through Obetz, and we’re close to hitting the 2-inch marker for snow. Our team is out plowing and salting to keep roads as safe as possible, and we’ll continue monitoring the forecast to provide updates as needed.

With cold temperatures expected throughout the week, our crews are also working hard to clear streets and storm drains to help prevent freezing and dangerous conditions. You can assist by moving vehicles off the road so plows can clear streets more effectively.

If you must travel, please drive cautiously and give our trucks plenty of space to do their job. Stay safe, and thank you for your cooperation!
