Obetz’s Annual Spring Clean-Up: Clear the Clutter and Recycle Right!

As the flowers bloom and the gentle breeze of spring whispers through Obetz, it’s time again for our eagerly awaited Annual Spring Clean-Up! This year, we’re making it easier than ever to part with the past and refresh your space. Mark your calendars for Friday, June 7th, because Waste Management is dispatching extra trucks specifically for this event to help our residents dispose of additional household waste along with the usual trash collection.

But that’s not all. Do you have old tires taking up space in your garage or shed? We’ve got you covered. Obetz is hosting a tire disposal event at the Street Department building, located at 4100 Orchard Lane. Swing by on June 7th between 3:30 PM and 7:00 PM or on June 8th from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM to responsibly rid yourself of those unwanted tires.

Why participate in the Spring Clean-Up? It’s not just about tidying up—it’s about taking pride in our community and positively impacting the environment. By disposing of waste responsibly, we can contribute to a cleaner and more sustainable Obetz.

The graphic below provides details for disposal and recycling. It includes guidelines for what constitutes regular household trash and paint, specifications for yard waste, and instructions for the disposal of large items and appliances.

Let’s come together to embrace the season of renewal. Obetz is more than just a place to live—it’s a place where community and care for the environment go hand in hand. We’re excited to see our residents join forces to better our city.

Clean out, help, and participate in the change you want to see in your community. Together, let’s make this year’s Spring Clean-Up a resounding success!
