Reese Road Bridge Replacement
Attention Obetz residents and commuters! The City of Obetz wishes to inform you about an important update that might affect your daily travel. Starting April 1, 2024, the Franklin County Engineer will begin replacing the Reese Road Bridge, a vital project aimed at ensuring the safety and longevity of our infrastructure. While outside Obetz’s direct jurisdiction, this project is crucial for many within our community.
Project Overview:
Location: Reese Road, between Rathmell Road and Bixby Road.
Duration: Expected to last approximately 165 days, contingent on weather conditions.
Impact: Direct closure of Reese Road, necessitating detours for both southbound and northbound traffic.
Detour Information:
For those affected by the closure, alternative routes have been arranged to minimize inconvenience:
Southbound Traffic is advised to head west on Rathmell Road, south on Lockbourne Road, east on Rohr Road, and north back to Bixby Road to reconnect with Reese Road.
Northbound Traffic will follow the same detour in reverse order.
We understand the importance of keeping your day moving smoothly and recommend planning your travels with these detours in mind. Adjustments to your usual routes can significantly reduce delays and frustration.
