In accordance with Governor Mike DeWine’s State Orders to minimize the community spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), the Village of Obetz asks residents who normally visit village buildings for services to conduct their business online, over the phone, by mail, or through the drop box. As of Monday, March 16, 2020, the following facilities are closed to the public until further notice:
–Obetz Administrative Offices
–Obetz Police Office
–Obetz Community Center
–Obetz Athletic Club
The following events and meetings have been canceled.
–Obetz Council meeting scheduled for Monday, March 23rd
–Obetz Trout Tournament scheduled for March 28th
–Obetz Charter Review Meeting scheduled for April 6th
–Planning and Zoning meeting scheduled for April 8th
–Obetz Easter Egg Hunt scheduled for April 11th
-Spring Clean-Up & Tire Collection scheduled for May 1st
Due to the growing concern regarding the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID – 19) the Obetz Police Department Office and Village Offices are closed for making payments, in person, until further notice. You may still make payments online, through the drop box, or by mail. The drop box is located at 4175 Alum Creek Drive in the parking lot.

Taxpayers will not be able to receive assistance in person until further notice.
Obetz Food Pantry
The Obetz Food Pantry will remain open. Please call 614-496-6119 to schedule an appointment.
There are no events being hosted at Fortress Obetz until at least April 3, 2020.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Waste Management is temporarily suspending collection of bulk, effective after April 3, 2020.

Beginning Thursday, March 26, only child care programs with a Temporary Pandemic Child Care license will be permitted to operate in Ohio, serving only essential workers defined by the state with priority for key health and safety occupations.

Franklin County Emergency Management and Homeland Security is accepting donations of medical personal protective equipment. Donations must be in sealed manufactured packaging and a valid driver’s license is required for identification purposes.
Donations are accepted Monday through Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. at 5300 Strawberry Farms Blvd.

COTA has announced that all fares are waived for bus service. They are asking all bus riders to do the following:
-Enter the bus from the back. The front bus doors will be closed. This is to give their drivers some distance from the public.
-Don’t sit right next to people. Put distance between passengers and maintain as much social distancing as possible.
-There will be hand sanitizer on the bus. Use it when you get on and off.
