Obetz Hometown Heroes Program

We are proud to honor local veterans and active military members by displaying their service photos, names, rank, and branch of service on the digital boards at Fortress Obetz during Military Night at Full Throttle Thursdays (June 12), the Famous Fortress Fireworks (July 3), and the Obetz Zucchinifest (August 28 – September 1).

To be included, individuals must have served honorably or be actively serving in the U.S. Military, and must be a current Obetz resident, a current City of Obetz employee, or a deceased individual who was an Obetz resident at the time of their military service or at the time of their passing. Submit your application and photo online or at the Obetz Administrative Offices to be part of this special tribute.

Please submit all materials by June 6, 2025, to be featured during Military Night on June 12 at Full Throttle Thursdays.

As part of this year’s Famous Fortress Fireworks and Obetz Zucchinifest, we’re proud to honor local veterans by showcasing their service photos, names, and branch of service on our digital boards at both events. This tribute is our way of saying thank you and celebrating the courage and commitment of the men and women from Obetz who have served our country.

PAST OR PRESENT MILITARY PERSONNEL ARE ELIGIBLE IF (Must Meet Both Requirements):

1. Current active duty and reserve members of the U.S. Military (e.g., Navy, Army, Marines, Air Force, Coast Guard, National Guard, Space Force), as well as veterans who have been honorably discharged.

2. Current or former Obetz residents, or current employees for the City of Obetz.

Please upload a digital copy of the photo (minimum size 1.6MB, maximum size 50MB). If you have trouble uploading, email the photo or any questions to kduncan@obetz.gov. Prefer to submit a printed photo? Bring a 4”x6” to 8”x10” print to: 4175 Alum Creek Drive, Obetz, OH 43207 We’ll scan it and return the original to you.
