Dixon Quarry Kayak Troubleshooting FAQ
At Rent.Fun, we aim to make your rental experience as easy as possible. If you encounter an issue where a lock won’t open, here are the steps you can take to quickly troubleshoot:
1. Re-Scan the QR Code
Start by simply re-scanning the QR code on the unit. Occasionally, a second scan is all it takes to trigger the unlock.
2. Try a Different Unit
If re-scanning doesn’t work, try scanning the QR code on a different nearby unit.
Important: If you attempt to unlock a different unit, make sure you end your current rental in the app first.
Sometimes the issue may be with a specific unit, due to:

App glitches

Damaged QR codes

Jammed or mechanical lock issues
3. Tips for Scanning QR Codes
If you’re having trouble scanning:

Ensure the QR code is clean, visible, and undamaged.

Hold your phone a few inches away with good lighting.

Check for a strong internet or cellular connection.

Adjust your camera settings or use a QR scanning app if needed.
4. If the Issue Persists
If none of the above steps work:

Take a screenshot of any error messages.

Note the system name and the unit number you are trying to access.

Reporting the issue during the end rental process in the app

Clicking on the LIVE Chat option on the left side of the app.

Additionally, each rental unit has a customer service phone number posted on the side. You can call this number to speak directly with a representative, who can create a service ticket for you immediately.
Once a ticket is created, the unit is automatically marked as under maintenance, and our mechanical team is notified right away for repairs.
