Join Our Team! (Full-Time Technician Positions Available)
The City is looking for enthusiastic candidates that are motivated, trustworthy, and not afraid to put in a hard days work, to join our Service Department and Grounds Department.
A brief overview of duties performed by Service Technicians within the department include: Construction, modification, maintenance, and repair of streets, buildings, parks, and service equipment, as well as perform snow removal, community service projects, and other related work as assigned.
A brief overview of duties performed by Grounds Technicians within the department include: Maintenance and care of public grounds by mowing (riding and push), trimming, edging, weeding, as well as perform snow removal, community service projects, and other related work as assigned.
Starting Pay: $17/hr with full medical benefits provided. Dental/vision coverage, and accident/life insurance also provided at no cost. (Pay negotiable based on experience).
Requirements:
Candidates must possess a valid driver’s license and a GED or High School Diploma.
Must be able to perform physical labor and occasionally lift objects over 50 lbs.
Service Department: At least two years of experience in a trade field preferred but not required (construction, carpentry, electrical, masonry, equipment operator, etc.)
Grounds Department: At least two years of experience in a trade field preferred but not required (landscaping, lawn care, tree care, horticulture, lawn chemical application, etc.)
