The Village of Obetz will be hosting its annual Trout Fishing Tournament at Dixon Quarry on Saturday, April 17th, from 9am-noon. Participation is FREE! Adults and children can fish, so be sure to bring your friends and family. You can enter as an individual or as a team of two. There will be prizes for the most trout caught and for the longest trout caught. You can take home all the trout you catch—all other fish are catch and release.

Registration is the day of the event between 8:15am and 9am at the Dixon Quarry Pavilion located at 4400 Industrial Center Drive. The main entrance is the only access point to the pavilion and is on Industrial Center Drive. The secondary entrance to the park is accessible through the Vance’s parking lot (you cannot get to the pavilion through this entrance). To speed up your registration process, bring your completed registration document with you to the event or email it back to kduffy@obetz.oh.us by Friday, April 16th at 4pm.

Participants are expected to bring all of their own fishing equipment and bait. Fishers are not permitted to “chum the waters” with corn or other bait.

Covid Considerations

Participants/families should maintain a 6-foot distance from others not in their household. This includes while fishing, while standing in line to register, while standing in line for judging/prizes, and in the parking lots.

Masks should be worn by participants/families if they cannot maintain a 6-foot distance from others outside of their household.

To speed up your registration process and reduce standing in line, bring your completed registration document with you to the event or email it back to kduffy@obetz.oh.us by Friday, April 16th at 4pm .
