Obetz offices closed through January 31st
Village offices and non-essential operations will be closed from December 21st to January 31st. Ohio has suffered dramatic increases in new COVID cases since the weather got cold. Although the immunizations have begun, we expect that it will be some time before the shots are available to us. Considering that, we want to ensure that the employees and residents can thoughtfully spend time with their families during the holiday season without the fear of causing a large outbreak in the Village.
Essential services like police, snow removal, and limited Senior services will continue. All the buildings will be closed, and any non-police related emergencies should be directed to the Director on Duty listed on the Village website.
It’s been a crazy year and the people of Obetz have proven to be strong, resilient, and unrelenting. It has been inspirational to watch and be involved in events and happenings designed to lift the spirits of the community. I am humbled by the amount of love and caring I have witnessed as we all struggle through this rough patch.
Sunny days lie in our future. The Village and its people are strong. All the best to you and your families this Holiday Season. I can’t wait to see you all again in normal times.
Angela Kirk, Mayor of Obetz
