Register for Obetz Youth Tackle Football & Cheer

As of June 2, 2020 the state of Ohio is not allowing contact sports. However, we are hopeful that the restriction will be lifted prior to the start of the season. Because of this, no payments will be accepted at the time of registration.  Payments will be collected at a later date. You will be notified when payments can be made.

Once registration fees are being accepted, the price for registration will be $75.00.

Obetz Mandatory Youth Combine:
Obetz will host a mandatory preseason Combine at Fortress Obetz (Dates/Times: TBD). The combine gives the kids an opportunity to measure their skill level and the coaches time to evaluate draft prospects for the teams. Your player must attend the Combine.

After the Combine:
The coaches will draft the football teams immediately after completion of the Combine. Team assignments for cheer will occur at the same time as football.  Your Head Coach will promptly notify you of your team assignment.

Equipment Distribution and Requirements:
Obetz will distribute helmets, shoulder pads, game jerseys, and game pants (pants with pads).  Further details will be announced through league-wide emails. Players will be responsible for their own practice jerseys; practice pants (and pads); cleats (no metal); and, mouthpieces.

Regular Practices:
Regular practices are Coaches’ choice.  Teams may practice any or all days from Monday to Thursday.  No practices shall be scheduled for Fridays, Saturdays, or Sundays without permission from the Obetz league.

Game Times & Locations:
Games will be played on Sunday afternoons. All home games will be played in Obetz at Memorial Park and Fortress Obetz. Away games will be played in surrounding areas including but not limited to Canal Winchester, Amanda Clearcreek, Liberty Union, Fairfield Union, and Teays Valley.

Youth Mid-State League:
As of 2020, Obetz will now be a part of the Youth Mid-State League. In previous years, we have played our competition in the Mini OCC. We have decided that making the move to the MSL is the best fit for the Obetz community. A few changes come with this move. Some of these changes include playing away games at locations that belong to the MSL, and games will now be played on Sunday afternoons. Game times will be 1 PM, 3 PM, and 5 PM.

There will be one Cheerleading team for each Football team.
