COVID-19 Memorial Day Guidance
In accordance with the Ohio Department of Health Director’s Stay Safe Ohio Order, which stays in effect through May 29th, Franklin County Public Health recommends the following guidance to protect public health during the Memorial Day holiday weekend.
-Public gatherings such as parades and festivals are prohibited.
-Gatherings of ten or more people are prohibited. Virtual ceremonies and events or other creative ways to honor veterans are recommended. In-person events should not be held.
-Travel should occur only when necessary. Travel for leisure is not recommended or advised. If travel occurs out of state, individuals will need to adhere to a 14-day self-quarantine.
Keep our veterans and their families in your thoughts, honor our American flag and those who defend it this Memorial Day.

-The National Memorial Day Concert will broadcast on PBS Sunday, May 24th, from 8:00pm-9:30pm ET.
-The National Memorial Day Parade will be airing a pre-recorded TV special, “The National Memorial Day Parade: America Stands Tall” on May 25th, on ABC, CBS, NBC, and Fox stations nationwide.
-The National D-Day Memorial is hosting a Memorial Day Virtual Event on May 25th, 11:00am-12:00pm. For more details, visit: https://www.dday.org/event/memorial-day-ceremony/
-The Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund will observe Memorial Day 2020 with a virtual commemoration on May 25th at 1:00pm. For more details, visit: www.vvmf.org/alwaysremember
