2018 Public Safety Awards Banquet

If you live, work, or play in Obetz, then you know what it’s like to feel safe here. This feeling of safety, in large, is due to the great public safety departments we have.

The Annual Public Safety Awards Banquet was held on Friday, March 8th, at the Obetz Community Center. This banquet has become an important tradition that recognizes and honors members of the Obetz Police Department and the Hamilton Township Fire Department for their extraordinary service throughout the year.

In 2018 the Obetz Police Department took over 36,000 calls for service, patrolled over 140,000 miles, and removed 43 felons from our community. They performed 9,000 business checks and made 1,859 traffic stops—all while managing to build countless positive relationships with the residents in our community.
