Obetz Seniors awarded for generous donations

LifeCare Alliance is a home and community based nonprofit health organization providing programs such as meals-on-wheels and visiting nurses.

One of the LifeCare Alliance programs is the Groceries to Go Food Pantry, and it supports people who are batting chronic illnesses. Every year, the Franklin County Task Force on Aging challenges all the senior centers in Franklin County to donate as many toiletry items as they can to this program. The drive spans over a few months, and this year the Obetz seniors donated over 1,200 items! The total value was over $2,000! The seniors here in Obetz have donated the most each year for the last three years.

The Obetz seniors were invited to come out to one of LifeCare Alliance’s facilities to be recognized for their generous donations. They were given a Certificate of Appreciation and a tour of the facility to see how day-to-day operations are managed.
