Obetz Police Department vs. Hamilton Local Schools

On Friday, May 13th, the Obetz Police Department squared off against the staff of Hamilton Local Schools in basketball in effort to raise breast cancer awareness! As the two teams warmed up, students wearing pink filled the gym. Heads turned as students and staff of Hamilton saw former Ohio State Basketball player, Terence Dials, in an Obetz basketball uniform. Chief Confer, of the OPD, swore-in Dials and made him an honorary Police Officer for the day! But, would it be enough for Obetz to pull off the upset?! The game was very competitive, making it very exciting and fun to watch. Even 10TV was there to capture some of the action! Obetz held the lead for almost the entire game, but Hamilton tied the game with a deep 3-pointer with about 13 seconds left! Obetz couldn’t score on their next possession, and left Hamilton with the ball with three seconds left. Hamilton put up a shot from half court and barely missed as it hit off the front of the rim! The game ended in a tie! After the game, Terence Dials stuck around and got pictures with many of the students. Obetz would like to thank Hamilton Local Schools and everyone involved for making the game possible and helping raise money and awareness for the cause.
